365 polish for a year challenge: day 360-365

We are finally here! My last five looks to finish up doing a year of polish! I still have a ton more to try out too! I think I'll keep this blog up, but not an every day thing. I must admit it got a bit overwhelming at times. I am going to take some time off for my wedding and honeymoon from the blog. But while away you know I'm going to be looking for new nail polish out there!
My final five looks (now seeing them) have a lot of yellow, three of them to be correct. Ok, here we go!

Brand: Jordana
Name: Mellow Yellow
coats: 3
pigment: a simple yellow
price: $1.99
This bottle has been hanging around for a while, and I finally gave in and used this lovely color. I put a layer of white under to make the color look a bit brighter.

Brand:Ulta
Name: Limelight
coats: 3
pigment: a medium green
price: $2.00 (on sale)

I was a little disappointed with this color. It just seemed so thin and really didn't dry with a lot of shine. I was a bit upset because I've had great results with other Ulta polishes. Maybe it was just a different formula. The color is beautiful in the bottle, but very thin when applied.

Brand: Funky Fingers
Name: Like Clockwork
coats: 3
pigment: a bright neon orange
price:3/ $5.00

Oh, hello bright ass neon! This color looks a bit on the yellow side, and it looks that way in real life. I grabbed this bad boy up a few weeks ago feeling the neons of summer calling me. I used a base of white polish to help this color pop a bit more. I had great results with this polish, a must have for summer.

Brand: Sinful Colors
Name: Secret Admirer
coats: 2
pigment: a black polish with small silver glitter
price: $1.99

I picked this color up a longgggg time ago. I can't even tell you when. I can tell you I was super surprised with how much I love this polish! I was worried that it would dry bumpy and grainy, but instead it was shiny, smooth and glossy.

I wanted to add a bit of color to this beautiful polish. I grabbed one of my favorite plate patterns and some Sally Hansen Insta-dri Brisk Blue and came up with this look. A lot of people said I should have done yellow and added a bee, but I am perfectly fine with the way this came out.

Brand:Fresh Paint
Name: Alex's Lemonade
coats: 2
pigment: a pale yellow
price:3/ $5.00
One last yellow, I swear. This is the scented polish that I picked up in my last haul. It smelled so awesome, seriously I couldn't stop smelling my nails! It was a smooth application with a pleasant scent instead of the normal polish scent I'm use to.
I took my nails and turned them into a bit of Wonder Bread nails. I hit them with blue, red and orange dots near the cuticles. I thought the look was playful and simple.

Thank you everyone that has commented, followed, and like my nail adventures on here and my social media. I hope I can dedicate more time to it after the wedding!

Overdue Haul! Makeup and polish

Oh I had a very fun filled weekend! Hanging out with one of my friends, got my eyebrows threaded for the first time, and stopping into Ulta and Five Below! I just wanted to share the goodies I picked up this weekend.

I hit the NYX area very hard. I have come to know and adore this line of cosmetics due to my love of watching drag queens. NYX use to sponsor Ru Paul's Drag Race a few seasons ago. If it wasn't for that show I wouldn't know about this makeup line. After getting my brows threaded, I decided to get a new eyebrow product other than the pencils I have been using.
I was going to go the way of powder, but I wanted to cut my brow time down. Well I stumbled upon an eyebrow marker! I used it today, and it was so quick, clean and has lasted all day EVEN with me touching my brows...I'm hooked!
Also Picked up a new waterproof soft eyeliner pencil. I wore it today with ok results. It was hot and I did sweat, and I noticed it did run a lil under my eye. I will try it again tomorrow and see how well it works. I also picked up a skinny black liner to attempt a sexy cateye.
And last and probably my most looked for product is Essence nail art stampy set! I have been looking for this thing for a good five months! I finally got one with a cute stamping plate, new stamper and scraper. I can't wait to use it!

I also picked up nine new bottles of polish from Five Below! I remember seeing their line of neons last year, but I only picked up the purples and blues. I saw the orange, greens and yellows and well scooped them up. I also got some beautiful polishes from Fresh Paint as well! I will give props to my friend for getting these for me, since I covered her brows. Great trade if you ask me!
Hope everyone enjoyed this short and simple haul.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 357-360

Oh wow, we are getting very close. I am only 5 polish colors away from doing a full year of nails! Also getting down to the wire for my wedding! I'm very nervous, excited and anxious for that day! But now we are onto polish. I will do another haul post following this one, so stay tuned!

Brand:Pure Ice
Name: Last Chance
coats: 2
pigment: a deep purple
price: $1.98
Oh I love this purple. It was super super glossy when it dried. A lovely deep and creamy polish with great coverage in just two coats. I can't say enough about Pure Ice, they have totally stepped up their color selection and I am enjoying it!

I did hit the polish with a matte top coat to bring out the glitter a bit more. I used Confetti's Dragonfly (limited edition release!) to add a bit of attitude to this polish. It looked amazing under standard lighting. The flash in the photo does this glitter no justice!

Brand: Funky Fingers
Name: Elephunk
coats: 3
pigment: a light glitter gray
price:3/ $5.00

I had this polish lying around for some time, sitting on the shelf for a good mani. Well I was hit with inspiration from my Tokidoki calendar for the month of June. It had a mix of gray, pink and black for a color scheme. So I decided to use this semi glittery gray as a base color.

I then painted hald the nail a litght pink (Over The Rainbow also by Funky Fingers) and let that dry. After I used a fun and 80's like mixed triangle nail stamp to add more attitude to this mani. I was more than happy with the results!

Brand: Milani
Name:White On The Spot
coats: 2
pigment: a simple white
price: $3.98
One of my coworkers asked me to do a mani she saw online, so I tried it. I hit my nails with a white base color. Fast drying polish by Milani is the best...well all except for the price :P

Here is the end result! Everything was done freehand with a striper brush. I really like how to tips came out...I'm kinda sad that my anchor turned pink! I think the blue polish bled into it somehow.
