365 polish for a year challenge: day 103

Today I filed my nails down, one of my least favorite things to do. I chipped one of my nails and couldn't save it, so I cut all of them down. On this sad day I used a deep rose color from Pure Ice, so beautiful! I played with my nails stamping set again, kinda missing a lot of the nail, went back and tried to restamp the missed parts, I think it came out ok.

Brand: Pure Ice
Name: Rumors
coats:2
pigment: a deep creamy rose color
price: $1.79

Here is that beautiful creamy color, so deep and rich! Just love this color, so beautiful.
One of my favorite brands Pure Ice with yet another must have color
I tried putting gold leaves over the nail, but the flash kinda took over the look of the whole nail.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 102

Today I wanted to go with a simple look, so I went with a beautiful color. I hit my nails with a beautiful and mellow yellow I picked at the the start of the summer from Sinful Colors in a Summer display we had up back around April/May.

Brand:Sinful Colors
Name:Unicorn
coats:3
pigment: a light and creamy pastel yellow
price: $1.99

The polish seemed to thicken up after using it over a few nails, but it left it well covered
This is a gorgeous pastel yellow that has a nice and light white tone to it, very calming color.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 101

Having fun with my stamping set! I wanted to use some of my stamp sets to get more practice in. I wanted to use a metallic ( I know metallic work well on polishes) So I went with a deep gray green with a metallic green stamping. Well put the two together and it almost looks like black and sliver, shall we?

Brand: Loreal
Name: Mystery
coats:3
pigment: a deep green with gray tones
price: $2.49 (clearance)

There is that beautiful deep and dark green, reminds me of the color of moss. Dark and mysterious (like the name!)
This was an old color I found on clearance a few months back, caught my eye cause it was a different color!
Here is my stamping! This is about the 5th time I've done this, and I think it came out ok
I use Sinful Colors Moss Have with my stamping kit. I must say the little pink stamper works really well with nail stamping! So easy and simple clean up!

365 polish for a year challenge: day 100

TRIPLE DIGITS!!  Wow, time has gone by so fast! I've been having so much fun with new techniques, glitters and stamps (oh my!) Today I wanted to use some Halloween glitters I picked up a few weeks back, since we are just about in October! I want to thank everyone for their comments and encouragement. This has been a fun trip so far!

Brand: Icing
Name:Pretty as a Peacock
coats: 2
pigment: a glitter shimmer blue with a hint of black
price: $2.25 (clearance)

Looking at the photos with the flash I should have hit it with 3 coats. But to be honest the polish went on a bit thick
Picked this color up at Icing, I was searching for an Icing store for a while, I kept finding every store but Icing!
I put a nail stamp of the moon and some stars to go along with my cat glitters! I have some that are silver glitters too, but I thought the black went better with this design.
Had to flip the photo to get the full effect. So cute and super easy!  I'm thinking of getting another set of nail plates. Do you own any plates? What do you think of them?

Sad to say I wish my nails were longer to add more
For the red buttons I used Wet N' Wild I Red A Good Book. I hope everyone enjoyed this design, I know I sure do! I want to go play Mario now!

365 polish for a year challenge: day 96

I haven't used an NK color in a while! I had this beautiful sky blue hanging around for a while and wanted to use it as my main color today. Also I was feeling frisky, so I decided to take my nail stamping set out and give it a go! It's been a while since I've used it

Brand: NK
Name: light blue
coats:2
pigment: a light and creamy sky blue
price: $1.99

This sky blue polish is so beautiful! Good semi thick application and great coverage
NK has been such a good polish line every time I've tried it
Here is my simple black stars stamped on my nails
 I used Mash plate 08
I also used my go to black polish by Wet N' Wild Ebony Hates Chris.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 95

Oh, I went to Ulta today. I heard that Essence put out new bottles and polishes shades, and I found them today! I know some readers have said that other locations sell Essence, but over on the East coast Ulta is the only place I have been able to find it. I picked out four colors, and chose a lovely burnt caramel deep orange today! I'm not the biggest fan of orange, but this color was so beautiful I had to slap it on my nails! No design today, just the polish because it stands out on it's own. It had gold shimmer and beautiful flex floating in it. No more talking, PHOTOS!

Brand: Essence
Name: gorgeous bling bling
coats:2
pigment: a beautiful burnt caramel orange with gold shimmer and flex
price: $1.99

A beautiful deep orange, great coverage in 2 coats! Not sure if they changed the formula, but I adore these new shades! The price point is also very reasonable
The bottles seem to be a little bit bigger as well. $1.00 more but you really can't argue with that deal! This is just a beautiful color for this season.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 94

I wanted to do border nails today, and I wanted to have a glossy and metallic polish combination. So I reached for this lovely metallic silver from one of my recent SC hauls.

Brand: Sinful Colors
Name: Heavy Metal
coats:2
pigment: a eye catching metallic silver
price: $1.99

here we start off with a very reflective metallic silver. The has so much shine to it!
This bordered on mirror reflection, love how this looks!

I did a borer nail look with a deep purple that I got in my L.A. Colors Halloween set.

The colorers in the set did not come with any names on them. The polish went on very thin and kinda bled into the silver. Looking at it now i should have gone with a lighter purple.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 93

I had to use one of the new SC poilishes I picked up yesterday! After putting this color on I was stumped on what to do with this color. It's a beautiful deep gray-green that reminds me of a deep Leap Flog (pick up in this haul ) but this had an almost dark teal look to it.

Brand: Sinful Colors
Name:In The Mist
coats:2
pigment: a deep and dark green with gray tones
price: $1.99

It has wonderful deep coverage. This polish is beautiful and dark, perfect for the fall season
Here is my beautiful bottle! Very true to the bottle color when it dries
For this nail I just took a metallic polish and made a wide stripe in the middle using Milani Bridesmaids. A beautiful silver-copperish color to go with the deep green

I wanted to do stamping, but ran out of time so I went with this look.

New Sinful Color Halloween displays and mini polish haul

Oh to work in store where we get new polishes all the time. Today was a truck day, so we got a bunch of new displays. I was mostly excited to see the Halloween displays for Sinful Colors called Take A Bite and Bewitched. These two displays had colors from the regular line, some crackle polish and nailart polishes. We are getting a huge Wet N' Wild Halloween endstand that should be up tomorrow. Here are the displays

Forgive my 5mp phone camera. This has the crackle, Irish Green, Could 9 and a red (forget the color)
This also has basic colors with a orange and red sparkle called Pumpkin Spice, not sure if that one is basic collection or not.
This is the display that got me, Muse collection from Sinful Colors. A beautiful selection of colors perfect for a deeper and darker fall look. I already own Rainstorm and Last Chance so I skipped those. I did pick up some colors new to me!

Here are the bottles I grabbed. Everything has a gray tone to them that just screams sophisticated, mature and mysterious. Can't wait to try these colors! I was a bit shocked to not see a deep red color in the collection (am I the only one shocked over this?)
Names left to right:
Jungle Trail
Inkwell
Muse
Smokin
Mesmerize
 In The Mist

I hope you guys enjoyed this lil update!

365 polish for a year challenge: day 92

So you know I must like you if you keep asking me to do pink nails...and I do. One of my coworkers found some fading nails ( ombre nails) she said it looked spray painted, but I told her it took a simply makeup sponge and two-3 colors. So today I took her favorite color pink and had it fade into a deep sky blue.

Brand: Sinful Colors
Name: Star Fish
coats: 3
pigment: a light creamy pink
price: $1.99

Here we start off with this lovely and creamy pink. I want to call it ballerina pink! This went on kinda thin, but build up full coverage by coat 3
I picked this bottle up at the beginning of the summer, finally using it today
Next I cut up a makeup sponge and dipped it in my blue and pink polish next to each other and dabbed it along the tips of my nails.
I hit it with a fast dry top coat to help it smooth out and blend a bit more. I used Loreal Jet Set To Paris as the beautiful blue tips

I think these two colors worked out very well together. Another cotton candy looks!
Here is a shot of my cut up makeup sponge. Small enough to cover the tips of my nails. This was super easy and super quick too. I forgot how cute this look was.
