365 polish for a year challenge: day 42

I was feeling green, a nice tropical green, so I grabbed a fabulous Sally Hansen shade that I had yet to try and put it on my nails. I love this green, it is a hybrid. It's bright yet pastel green, and I can't say how much I love it. Oh Sally Hansen Xtreme wear is on sale all this month at Walgreens! Shall we?
 Brand:Sally Hansen
Name: Green With Envy
coats: 3
pigment:a bright pastel green
price: $1.99 with coupon
Green, how can anyone hate this color? I know it's not easy being green, but this color makes it look easy
I love all the colors in the Xtreme wear collection! I've always had good results from this line and the color selection is amazing.
To add a bit of pop to the design I hit it with some glitter. This one was a Jordana glitter called Celestial, with big and small glitter chunks
I figured green and blue go very well together so why not rock the combo on my nails. I know glitter is a pain to remove, but isn't a little extra sparkle during the day worth an extra few minutes of soaking the nail to remove it??

365 polish for a year challenge: day 41

Hello everyone! I have a beautiful blue polish today, and some angry black lack luster black. As you know I have been searching for a crackle polish to have a unique crackle look. Well unfortunately this crackle polish was a total bust, and killed the beautiful blue polish that it covered instead of complimented

 Brand: Sinful Colors
Name:Ocean Blue
coats: 3
pigment:a beautiful tropical sky blue
price: $.99 on sale

 A beautiful creamy blue polish
Picked this up last week when the polish was on sale, I think this is a limited edition color
Now for the sad part, my lack luster crackle polish
The polish was dry, I tried thin and thick coats, all I got was streaks
The best one that came out was my thumb, and the crackle dried with a matte look. Needless to say I love the blue, and might be throwing away soon because I had no luck with it. Has anyone else had a problem with crackle polish of any brand?

365 polish for a year challenge: day 40

I was feeling purple, and sparkles. Then I put this polish on, and felt annoyed and disappointed.  This polish dries jelly, and after 3 coats it was still sheer. I gave up on coat three, anymore and it would take forever to dry. Lesson learned, white base before anything like this.
 Brand: Spoiled
Name: Checkin' Into Rehab
coats: 3
pigment:a very thin purple and glitter pigment
price: $1.99
This is without flash, you can see it is so sheer! I think 5 coats would have finally covered it all, but that is a bit to much polish
Here it is with the flash, you can see the wonderful sparkles and my nails underneath...disappointing
Overall the polish is cute, but it needs a better and thicker pigment. This polish had such potential, but fell flat.  Myabe I'll give this polish another go after the challenge with a white base :(

365 polish for a year challenge: day 39

I had to put this polish on today! It is a sexy mix between a red and pink!  It looks like both!  I didn't do anything with the polish, I just kept it this color because I didn't want to take away from this mixed color

 Brand: Sinful Colors
Name: Dancing Nails
coats: 3
pigment:pink/red hybrid metallic pigment
price: $.99 on sale

Looks red in this photo right? I kept looking at it under different lighting to try and figure out what color it really comes out as. I didn't figure it out
Now look, it's pink! This color looks so beautiful.
Now it's looking like pink and red! I love the metallic sheen to this polish too.  If you love red and pinks then this polish is for you!

365 polish for a year challenge: day 38

Well I wanted to wear some of the new Sinful Colors that I picked up during the $.99 sale this week!  I grabbed some beautiful colors, deep and serious. I couldn't resist, I had to wear them!

Brand:Sinful Colors
Name:Sexy Envy
coats: 3
pigment: a brighter green, but still deep and creamy
price: $.99 on sale

I am in love with this color! This is a beautiful shade that is a deep green almost on the borderline of teal. As always a smooth application !
I grabbed this off of the new giant display in Walgreens
Now to the angering part, my crackle. I tried Sally Hansen Antique Gold, and it hated my left hand. This is my right and I put it on a bitch thicker on this side after seeing it come out horribly on my left in thin layer.
Now I have heard other reviews saying the metallic crackle doesn't come out that well (boo) and from what I've used it's a 50/50 chance it will work correctly. So I suggest putting it on a bit thick, and it does take a little longer to dry.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 37

I'm feeling cloudy and dark today. So I was feeling this cement like color by NYC. I've been finding myself loving deep dark gray colors more and more recently. Maybe because i know fall is on it's way, or it's just this crazy weather we've been having.

Brand: NYC
Name: Sidewalker
coats: 3
pigment:smooth deep gray
price: $.99

Is anyone else feeling this color? A smooth texture and a clean shine is what I got from this polish. 3 coats and good coverage.

I picked this polish up in a haul a few months back, You can't argue with the price either!
Added some glitter to make it pop a bit

I added Confetti Tazmanian Devil. So many textures and different sized glitter flakes, so much fun! I really love the look of both polishes together. Not super flashy, but not dull and boring.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 36

FINGER PAINTS!!! Yes, it's time to put on my Finger Paint polish and try it out! No big intro, today, just photos!
 Brand:Finger Paints
Name:Sexy Sundress
coats: 3
pigment: a granny-smith apple green
price: $1.60 on sale
Bright, bold and beautifully pigmented! I love this color!  Went on smoothly with 3 coats, not a neon but still loud and eye-catching
I like to bottle shape too, very cute
I tried a technique I found on nailside called freehand cloud design, so I grabbed my other Finger Paints and used them in the pattern
This lovely color is called To-Teally Hot. I love how these colors go together!
Then I hit it with a burst of sparkles!
Going over the other cloud design once again using Finger Paints Late Night Rendezvous. Overall I simply adore this nail line. I have one other color that I picked up from this company and two magnetic polishes that I still need to try out. Now if/when they go on sale I might be willing to pick up another bottle or two, but for now my clearance bottles will hold me over.

365 polish for a year challenge: day 35

Hey everyone! We keep moving along with day 35! Today I chose a dark purple from the Wet N' Wild Halloween collection from last year. Now with the flash you can see the purple, but in sunlight it looks black. It looks beautiful either way, with or without flash. Shall we?
 Brand: Wet N' Wild
Name: Make Me Immortal
coats:3
pigment:a deep dark grape pigment
price: $.99
Such a deep and almost metallic purple, no wonder it was part of the Halloween collection
Part of the Wild Shine line
I went and put some blue/green flakies over the design.
I always have a hard time capturing the effect, this photo is without flash.

Overall I really liked the polish color. It survived a night working in a photo lab and didn't chip! I really do enjoy it when companies put out a limited edition color. I also love Halloween so this line reminds me of my favorite holiday!

365 polish for a year challenge: day 34

swear last day with the NYC colors, cause it's my last bottle. I have to see how the blue comes out! And let me say it came out beautiful just like this whole line. I suggest you grab these while you can find them. I don't know what they did with the formula, but they got it right!

 Brand: NYC
Name: Blue Rush
coats:2
pigment: a robin's egg smooth creamy blue
price: $1.49 with coupon

I am in love with this blue. Great pigment, 2 coat application, true to the bottle color
again, pick up this line. If you love NYC polish you won't be disappointing !
To finish this mani I hit it with a new Fergie (Wet N' Wild) color
This sparkle coat is awesome! Black matte glitter with gold chunky glitter! The color is called Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night. I love how this look does come out like a robin's egg!

365 polish for a year challenge: day 33

Ok, I give in. I had to use the NYC polish again. I had such a great result yesterday, I must test out more of the colors!

 Brand: NYC
Name: Flash Of Pink
coats: 3
pigment: a smooth bubble gum pink
price: $1.49 with coupon

Not a big pink fan, but something about this pink did work for me. My 2nd time using this polish and I love it. I did have to put 3 coats instead of 2, but still it dried quicky with a bright pigment
 I'm loving this line already
I decided to try Spoiled sparkles once again. I had a better result this time around
I used Trust Fund Baby in thin coats and had a better result than before. It has a mix of blue, purple, black and gold glitters in it. It looks like my nails are throwing a party!!

365 polish for a year challenge: day 32

A full month of non-stop nail polish fun!!! It has been a full month already! I'm having a blast so far, I hope you are enjoying this too! Well today (and maybe for the next two days) I have a NYC (I think limited edition) Expert Last nail polish. I got these at Rite Aid and loved the color, now that I've used one I love the polish. Great pigment, fast drying and such a smooth beautiful finish! Enough, let's show the polish!
 Brand: NYC
Name: Green Means Go
coats: 2
pigment: a smooth bright pigmented green
price: $1.49 with coupon

I love green, my favorite color. I was so happy to find this beautiful bright green. I was ecstatic to find out how wonder this polish goes on!
Goes on so smooth, dried very quickly and has a nice glossy finish.
To make this color pop a bit I tried a bit of chunky blue glitter.

What I liked about this glitter was that it had small and big chunks of glitter. It also has blue and green bigger chunks of glitter. I picked it up last year at K-Mart and it's by Jordana called Cosmic. I hope everyone enjoyed today's mani!

365 polish for a year challenge: day 31

I was feeling the sun today! A bright color was calling me! I picked up the Neon line from Milani this week, so I had to put it to good use!
 Brand: Milani
Name:Awesome Orange
coats: 3
pigment: a bright orange
price: $4.99
POP! That is what this orange does. This was my first time using the Neon line and I have to say I enjoyed it! I had to put a coat of white as a base color to make this color super stand out and not have to put on 15 coats.
Here is the bottle. I think they put a coat of orange on the outside to make it look brighter.

I did simple layer of blue with a nail art brush to calm the color down just a bit.
I think the colors work very well together. I use Sinful Colors Anxious Azure with a beautiful metallic finish to a glossy nail design
